Covid-19 Information 

We at Harvey Bowler Funeral Services take the health and wellbeing of our staff and client families very seriously. With the current unprecedented measures taking place to reduce the spread of Covid-19 (Coronavirus), below are the measures we are implementing to support our staff and community.

What does the Orange Light mean for Funerals and Tangihanga?

Gatherings are permitted to go ahead under the Covid Protection Framework at Orange.


From 11:59pm on 13 April 2022, there will be no requirement to use My Vaccine Pass and the following gathering limits apply to everyone.


Indoor and Outdoor Gathering Limits:

- No limits on numbers that can attend

- Masks are encouraged

- Catering is permitted


Its important to note that some offsite venues such as maraes and cafes may have further requirements that need to be followed.


Our staff and their families are all fully vaccinated including boosters.

Life at Orange

My loved one has passed away, what do I do now?

Please contact us on 06 3682954 or 0800 33 22 73 as soon as possible. We will be able to liaise with the rest home, doctor, hospital, hospice, or police and make arrangements for your loved one to be transferred into our care.


Our funeral directors will discuss the options available when you call us so that you and your whanau can make the best decision at this time. We will then collect information through emails, phone calls or in person to get the basic requirements to register the death.

If you are currently in a situation where your loved one is unwell, please make contact with us and we can outline what options we have for this period.
